Jan. 1, 2009A New Year-WOW!! 2009-WOW again!
Another successful ride at Pennyrile. As usual some of the horses were frisky, but everyone stayed in the saddle. About 35 to 40 handled the brisk day really well. Do let us know of your experiences and fun on the ride. A really great way to start off the New Year.
Looking ahead to what is in front of us, including more good times together this year on the trails and at camps, it is a GREAT time to be alive. A great time to be "involved", involved in life, involved in people, involved in the things of God. Things seem to be shaking all over the world-shaking that can be kind of scary and even exciting. As we see the financial world shaking, it is a time of drawing close to what God is doing in the shaking. He seems to be bringing people to Himself, to His Purposes.
Everyday as I awake, I am aware that this new day, is truly a time to ask"What do you have up today Lord, and what is my part in it?" He wants to establish our thoughts and direct our paths every day as we look for His favor in our lives.
As an example of the favor of the Lord: many of you are aware of the traffic and the traffic lights on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. in Clarksville, TN. About two years ago I realized I was really getting frustrated at the traffic lights there; when I asked ever so casually-"Lord, help me through these lights". Well, after that, I was made aware of the fact that I go through the whole area time after time without a red light! I began to see that this was the favor of God for me in this situation. I could almost hear the Lord laughing with me as I drive steadily through the whole section from exit 4 to Lowe's and back. We have fun together. He wants to favor His people in these so called little things" if we just ask, and certainly in the big things too.
